WHO WE ARE
OUR HISTORY
Incorporated in 1983 in Pennsylvania, under the name KC Engineering & Construction Co., performing primarily engineering and construction management for the private sector. KC performed residential construction, civil engineering and civil construction management. KC entered the public bidding market in 1987, successfully completing school additions, office renovations, municipal buildings, and libraries. In the mid 90's, KC began acquiring heavy construction equipment and moved into heavy civil construction. The work included mass transit maintenance facilities, water resources improvements, earth dams, landfills, wastewater treatment facilities, recreational facilities, athletic fields and highway projects.
In 2000, KC began to focus on Dam Rehabilitation and Flood Protection projects, developing a hand-picked group of project managers and skilled laborers who take great pride in quality work. Now having completed 40+ specialty dam, levee and flood control projects in our region, we offer unmatched experience and expertise with an army of seasoned suppliers, subcontractors and consulting partners in tow.
OUR PEOPLE
Over the years KC has grown from a small 3-person consulting firm up to a 90-person heavy construction company, now settling into a specialized Civil GC somewhere in between. KC prides itself in providing quality work that stems from its origins as a family business. The pride is not only evident in the owners and key management staff, it is in each one of the employees. Our workers are dedicated, long term team members that really care about what they do and how they do it all while boasting an excellent safety record.

We have invested in best of bread software applications to run our estimating, project management and accounting systems. Our construction fleet is also filled with new equipment utilizing the latest and greatest technology (vehicles, surveying equipment and heavy equipment) serviced by our in-house mechanics.
